When we first met Ryan and Corinne, we INSTANTLY knew they were up for an adventure.

It was a sunny, 80 degree December day when met them at Waimea Canyon. We started our day on the red cliffs in the harsh direct sunlight, basking in the warmth of the island (it was nice to get away from the cold winter and enjoy some tropical weather!!).

We jumped and cuddled and adventured all along the rim of the canyon, and honestly, I’ve never seen something so different! The canyon is a mixture of red and green, with waterfalls in all corners and the blue sky. SOO many colors – and I loved getting to photograph them!!

After first starting our adventure on the cliffs, we then headed off to our 3 mile hike to one of the most INSANE views of the canyon that I have never seen online before.

It was cool finding this spot that I knew not a lot of photographers have previously been to (and in this day and age, almost every popular spot on the gram has been photographed by almost every photographer ever), and this little hike that lead to this overlook was one that I have never seen before – and it was SUCH an amazing time!

As we were taking our photos with Corinne in her Grace Loves Lace dress, and Ryan in his wedding suit, we quickly realized we were about to be a part of a rainstorm that was on the horizon.

The clouds became darker, and there was a haze that covered our view of the canyon. And while we were getting a bit wet, the haze created an INCREDIBLE backdrop to capture Ryan and Corinne’s adventure in the canyon!

And honestly. It was nothing short of an adventure. Between the hike, the rain, AND THEN a rainbow that followed shortly after – we got allll of the Hawaii feels. It was the greatest adventure captured the whole entire way – the way that they wanted it. 🙂

I’m SO excited to be headed back to Maui very soon and cannot wait to head back to the wonderful island of Kauai soon!!

After spending about a week exploring the island and getting to know all of the hidden spots, best beaches, and greatest adventures pots, I can confidently say that if you’re looking to elope in Kauai, I’M YOUR GAL!
