Huntington Beach Pier Sunrise Engagement // Holly + Shane

We woke up at the crack of dawn (It was literally dark outside when we met up). AND the sand felt like ice on our feet, but the morning couldn't have been more perfect.

I've always been a morning person, and I've always enjoyed the calm peaceful mornings where you can reflect and bask in the beauty of nature. Sunrises are a great opportunity to do that!

When Holly & Shane only had one day in SoCal to do an engagement shoot, I suggested a sunrise shoot at the beach. They were so excited.

We met at a Starbucks, got our coffee fill, and then headed out to the sand. We first stepped in with our bare feet, not knowing it was going to be ice cold, and immediately ran back to the asphalt to put our shoes back on. You never know what you're going to get at the beach in December in Southern California! Although it was cold, the sun rising in the east created such a beautiful golden light that I couldn't stop shooting.

Once the coffee was flowing, we couldn't stop running and playing fun games to get some awesome photos!
