We woke up a like the crack of dawn to get out into the Pismo Beach dunes without any distractions (aka ATV's and Cars blasting through the sand), and so half asleep, we piled into my husbands off-roading XTerra and headed for the dunes.
Rebecca wanted to wear her mother's wedding gown in the desert under the stars, and I was seriously dreaming the moment she put it on. It was so beautiful and she looked stunning in it. Of course JR couldn't stop looking at her either - it was amazing.
We started in the valley at high noon so the sun was high and bright, and it was so fun running through the meadow with these two. After that, we headed to Yosemite falls and successfully climbed over rocks to get to the base... but left absolutely drenched. All nice done-up hair and outfits were officially ruined and soaking wet, and it was magnificent.
Chiara and JP reached out to me after they had won a giveaway on Instagram. They wanted to have their shoot in Big Sur, and I was STOKED! And boy did it deliver.
Charlotte and Leo are just the cutest. When we arrived at Joshua Tree, it was seriously windy, and as they got worried, I told them, "NO, guys, this is seriously a MAGIC maker for photos!", and I wasn't wrong.
We woke up at the crack of dawn (It was literally dark outside when we met up). AND the sand felt like ice on our feet, but the morning couldn't have been more perfect.
Mkay, so Joshua Tree is FANTASTIC and I freaking love this place and these two!! These are the things I live for. Getting to hang out with rad couples and shoot all day. Are YOU down to do that too? Because if so, I know we will be best friends. :)
Okay, I have to say, I think this was one of my favorites. Not only because, WOW, freaking Yosemite and craziness, but also because Kate, the bride to be, is a long time elementary school friend of mine! When she reached out and said she wanted to go to Yosemite, I just about peed.
These two! I had a blast exploring Laguna Beach with them, and I gotta say, as familiar as I am with LB, we did some things that I've never done before. We rode the trolley. Like, how cool is that, and also, how have I never done that before?! We went on a different trail on Top of the World (the hill top of one of the hills along the coast). and we witnessed and AMAZING sunset! We got in the water, in September, and IT WASN'T COLD. Really though, when does that ever happen here in Cali. Not only that, but it really wasn't hard to direct these two because they were so natural at it and so in love. Lauren's genuine joy is so evident in this shoot that it makes me happy every time I look through these! And Ryan, well he was just laughing with Lauren the entire time and that just made it so much more fun! I can't wait for their wedding in December, I know that it's going to definitely be an emotional one for them, and for me!
